How would it be like to live as another person? You can ask photographer Kyoko Hamada born in Japan and living in the US since she was 15. With her project I used to be you she's experimenting a change of personality: she dresses up (and live as) Kikuchiyo-san, an old lady she created as an imaginary character. She takes photographs of her life, the objects in her house, her patterned dresses, the food she eats. What comes out is a reportage in pale colors and full of little details of a not-too-young woman's life, sometimes funny, sometimes maybe lonely, definitely moving.
