WHEN IN VENICE..

.. follow the locals!
What's better for a late spring day then to head to the beach for an afternoon walk?
I spoke about Sant'Erasmo before here on the blog: it's one of my favorite islands of the venetian lagoon, and i guess this time of the year is one of the best to go visit!
First, all the fields are growing lots of stunning vegetables (it's artichokes time!) so it's amazing to walk around the silent streets surrounded by green blooming nature; then, if you get closer to the seaside, you can come across tons of venetian families, reaching the island with little boats, leaving them just by the beach (the water is very shallow for a long distance) and having picnics, fishing or just playing around!
