I've red this article this morning when i woke up: in a few seconds i found myself inside a huge digital archive of vintage textiles, patterns and prints. The Design Center of Philadelphia University decided to start and share - and make accessible to everyone - its stunning collection of fabrics through this tumblr. I just think this is such an amazing step forward for public institutions to digitalize their archives and open them to the public eye through the web, so that even somebody who lives on the other side of the world can take advantage, see and get inspired by these wonderful little pieces of history.
